Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut on Tuesday fiercely criticized Defence Minister Rajnath Singh over his recent statements in Lok Sabha regarding the status of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Raut labeled Singh's remarks a 'serious admission' and accused the BJP of backtracking on its long-held promise to reclaim the area.

In a press conference held in the capital, Raut reiterated, 'Rajnath Singh yesterday made it clear in Lok Sabha that capturing PoK was never the intention. This marks a stark shift from the BJP's earlier assurances.' The Defence Minister's comments have ignited sharp reactions, with Raut demanding condemnation from the broader political sphere.

During Monday's Lok Sabha session, the heated discussion on Operation Sindoor illuminated the contrast between government actions and statements. Defence Minister Singh specified that the operation's mission was to dismantle terror infrastructures rather than seize land. 'Our cross-border efforts intend to address terrorism's roots,' Singh asserted, adding that the operation would continue if Pakistani provocations persisted.
