In a fiery speech at the Lok Sabha, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav lashed out at the government, holding it accountable for the intelligence failure in the Pahalgam terror attack. He demanded answers from authorities, emphasizing that such serious lapses cannot be excused by mere admissions of fault.
Yadav criticized the government's diplomatic actions, specifically questioning the sudden ceasefire with Pakistan. He expressed concerns over India's foreign policy, labeling China as a looming threat to both land and economic interests, and accusing the government of inadvertently promoting Chinese commercial dominance.
The former Uttar Pradesh chief minister also touched upon military and internal policy issues. He criticized the timing of military actions and the treatment of terror victims' families, and vehemently opposed the Agnipath recruitment scheme, urging its withdrawal for the sake of national security.
