Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) MP Kanimozhi on Tuesday launched a fierce critique against Union Home Minister Amit Shah during the Lok Sabha debate on Operation Sindoor. Kanimozhi accused Shah of evading accountability by shifting the focus to historical events rather than addressing current issues.
Speaking to ANI, Kanimozhi emphasized the lack of constructive dialogue in the Lok Sabha, accusing the government of failing to address critical questions about their policies and actions. She asserted that this deflection undermines public trust and pointed to the government's repeated failures to learn from past terror incidents.
In a poignant response to Shah's remarks, Kanimozhi questioned the patriotism implied in his speech, reminding him that the DMK consistently stood with the government on national security issues. Meanwhile, Shah attributed the existence of Pakistan to Congress and criticized historical decisions by former Prime Minister Nehru regarding the UN Security Council.
