The Rajya Sabha was the scene of heated exchanges between the Opposition and the treasury benches recently, following remarks by J P Nadda, the Leader of the House, against the Leader of the Opposition, Mallikarjun Kharge.
During a debate on Operation Sindoor and the Pahalgam terror attack, Kharge criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi, leading Nadda to accuse him of losing his mental balance. This prompted Nadda to demand that Kharge's comments be removed from the records.
The remarks sparked objections from Kharge and opposition members, leading Nadda to apologize. Nadda emphasized Modi's stature and noted that while he took back his words, Kharge's comments were passionate and should be expunged from the record.
