On Tuesday, YSRCP leader Bhumana Karunakar Reddy condemned what he described as undue restrictions on YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's planned visit to Nellore's Central Jail. He claimed that local police had issued notices to party leaders, intentionally creating obstacles for the visit scheduled for July 31.

Criticizing these alleged efforts to curb public gatherings, Karunakar Reddy highlighted that whenever a renowned leader like Jagan Mohan Reddy visits, people gather spontaneously. During a press briefing, he expressed concerns over the state's attempt to limit these natural congregations, especially as Jagan Mohan Reddy plans to visit YSRCP leader Kakani Govardhan Reddy, described as wrongfully detained.

Furthering his critique, the former TTD chairman attacked Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's governance approach, calling the P4 (People–Public–Private Partnership) model forced philanthropy. He challenged Naidu to utilize his alleged amassed wealth to benefit 20 lakh families through a poverty elimination initiative.
