Maharashtra Samajwadi President Abu Asim Azmi expressed conditional support for the outcome of Operation Mahadev, hoping the slain terrorists were indeed those responsible for the deadly Pahalgam attack that took 26 lives. 'The government seeks praise for their elimination,' Azmi stated during an interview with ANI.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah informed the Lok Sabha that Indian security forces had neutralized three Pakistani terrorists from the Lashkar-e-Taiba during the operation in Jammu and Kashmir. However, Azmi questioned the security breaches that facilitated the Pahalgam assault, demanding accountability and answers.
'The public wants to know why security was absent, allowing terrorists to strike and escape effortlessly. Families of the victims remain without justice,' Azmi emphasized. Shah detailed the terrorists' identities, revealing them as high-ranking members of Lashkar-e-Taiba, executed in a joint military effort.
