In an effort to soothe rising tensions among party members, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has initiated one-on-one meetings with Congress MLAs. This strategic move aims to address concerns over delayed development projects, which some legislators attribute to the implementation of the government's pre-poll guarantees.
The Chief Minister engaged in talks with ministers and legislators from several districts, including Mysuru and Dakshina Kannada, on Tuesday. He plans to extend these discussions to representatives from other districts as the week progresses.
Noticeably absent from these meetings is Deputy Chief Minister and Karnataka Congress President D K Shivakumar. Despite speculation, Shivakumar has dismissed any political friction, asserting the meetings focus solely on development issues, echoing Home Minister G Parameshwara's assurances.
