Moldovan Elections Under Threat from Russian Interference

Moldovan President Maia Sandu has issued a stark warning regarding the integrity of the upcoming parliamentary elections set for September.

In a press briefing held in Chisinau, Sandu identified electoral corruption and illegal external financing from Russia as the principal threats.

She accused the Russian Federation of planning to exert control over Moldova, warning of unprecedented interference to influence the electoral outcome.
