In the wake of the brutal terrorist attack in Pahalgam that resulted in the loss of 26 lives, senior Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Manoj Kumar Jha underscored the incident as 'collective pain' of the nation. During a special session in the Rajya Sabha, Jha asserted that national security transcends mere sloganeering, emphasizing it as both a moral duty and collective responsibility.
Jha urged national unity amidst grief while cautioning against using it as a shield for government actions. He further critiqued the administration's handling of Jammu and Kashmir and called for the restoration of its full statehood, highlighting the sacrifices and unprecedented responses from the Kashmiri people following the attack.
Echoing similar sentiments, TDP MP Masthan Rao Yadav Beedha hailed the decisive 'Operation Sindoor' as a strong message to adversaries. Beedha emphasized that the attack was a strategic move by Pakistan to disrupt peace and suppress tourism in Kashmir, strengthening the narrative against terrorism under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.
