Leader of the House in the Rajya Sabha, J P Nadda, launched a scathing attack on previous Congress-led governments, accusing them of lacking the political will to effectively counter terrorism backed by Pakistan. Speaking during a special discussion on Operation Sindoor, Nadda urged the opposition to introspect on their past responses to terror attacks.
Nadda detailed how the Congress regime from 2004 to 2014 failed to respond decisively to a series of terrorist attacks, including bomb blasts in Delhi, Varanasi, and Mumbai. He contrasted this with the BJP-led government's swift actions under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, emphasizing the surgical strikes following the Uri attack as a decisive moment.
Nadda highlighted a reduction in civilian and security personnel deaths from terror incidents under the current government, attributing these successes to political will and strategic initiatives. He accused Congress of appeasement and further criticized their previous actions that linked terror incidents with religious motivations.
