A high-ranking BJP team conducted an investigative visit to Asharambari in Tripura's Khowai district on Wednesday, following an attack on their party workers. The incident occurred while BJP members were engrossed in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Mann Ki Baat' broadcast on July 27.

Senior party MLA Rampada Jamatia attributed the assault to 'Lal Motha' or TMP, alleging their association with former CPI(M) members. The TMP is a partner in Tripura's BJP-led coalition government. Jamatia urged the Prime Minister and Union Home Minister to examine the incident critically.

Industries Minister Santana Chakma denounced the attack, emphasizing that the BJP would retaliate democratically. Three arrests have been made in connection with the attack, with officials urging further police action against the attackers.
