Kamala Harris Rules Out California Governor Run

Kamala Harris, the former U.S. Vice President, has officially ended speculation about her political future in California. On Wednesday, Harris announced she will not run for governor of California, despite previously considering the option.

"I have given serious thought to asking the people of California for the privilege to serve as their Governor," she stated, expressing her deep connection to the state but ultimately deciding against the gubernatorial race.

While she will not be seeking an elected office for now, Harris hinted at the possibility of a future presidential bid in 2028. Meanwhile, other prominent Democrats, including Xavier Becerra and Katie Porter, have announced their candidacies, as current Governor Gavin Newsom approaches the end of his term-limited tenure.
