India reiterated its commitment to a 'negotiated two-state solution' for the Israel-Palestine conflict, emphasizing the establishment of a sovereign Palestinian state alongside Israel as a cornerstone of its foreign policy, the government stated in the Rajya Sabha.

Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh highlighted India's longstanding support for this resolution, condemning the recent terror attacks in Israel and advocating for a peaceful settlement through diplomatic dialogue. The nation pressed for an immediate ceasefire, hostage release, and humanitarian aid in the ongoing crisis.

Despite its calls for peace, India abstained from a UN resolution for an unconditional ceasefire in Gaza, citing an imbalance in the resolution text. The country's stance has been reiterated in international forums, underscoring its balanced diplomatic approach in seeking early negotiations.
