In a sharp retort to his predecessor Ashok Gehlot, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has defended his frequent temple visits, rebuffing accusations of overzealous religious devotion. Sharma, responding to Gehlot's criticism at a recent event, emphasized his right to faith practices, framing it as a personal choice under scrutiny.
The Chief Minister further criticized the Congress party, alleging it for spreading false narratives such as 'Hindu terror' for political gains. Sharma cited the recent acquittal in the Malegaon blast case as a vindication of Hindu values and reiterated his belief that Hindus espouse global welfare.
Highlighting state government achievements, Sharma pointed to the successful recruitment of 24,000 health service positions and water initiatives like the Yamuna Water Agreement, aligned with the futuristic agenda 'Viksit Rajasthan 2047.' His remarks came during the inauguration of Netra Kumbh 2025, promising extensive free eye care services.
