In a significant political move, Jharkhand's ruling INDIA bloc MLAs have resolved to pass a legislative resolution against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls during the monsoon session of the state assembly.
The INDIA bloc aims to rigorously contend with opposition queries, maintaining unity against actions perceived as exploitations by central authorities. Among other discussions, the alliance focuses on advocating for the Sarna religious code and increased OBC reservations.
Opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to devise its strategy for the session in an internal meeting ahead of the assembly proceedings. A spirit of cooperation was encouraged by Speaker Rabindranath Mahato at an all-party meeting.
