Trump Dispatches Envoy to Negotiate Peace in Russia

U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff is scheduled to travel to Russia after his current engagement in Israel, according to President Donald Trump.

Although the itinerary remains undisclosed, Witkoff has previously engaged in comprehensive discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Trump has set an August 8 deadline for Putin to end the fighting in Ukraine, warning of impending economic sanctions if the situation persists.
