Controversial Claims: Trump's Alleged Role in Peace Deals
The White House Press Secretary claims President Donald Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize for mediating international conflicts, including one between India and Pakistan. Disputed claims arise as Indian officials deny third-party intervention, emphasizing no trade negotiations were linked to the halted military actions.

The White House Press Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, asserted that President Donald Trump should be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, citing his role in resolving multiple global conflicts. She claimed Trump's intervention ended hostilities between various nations, including India and Pakistan, since May 10.
Trump has repeatedly claimed credit for facilitating a ceasefire between India and Pakistan, highlighting Washington's role in mediating talks. However, Indian authorities refute these assertions. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar have both stated that there was no third-party involvement in halting military operations with Pakistan during Operation Sindoor.
In the Indian Parliament, it was emphasized that Trump's claims, linking trade incentives to conflict resolution, were inaccurate. Jaishankar specifically noted that there were no phone conversations between Modi and Trump during the critical periods of April to June, further casting doubt on the purported diplomatic intervention.
