On Friday, Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh underscored the Telugu Desam Party's (TDP) steadfast commitment to championing the rights of Telugu people.

He noted that the party refrained from opposing the Kaleshwaram project, even as the Telangana government commenced construction without central approval, recognizing its potential benefits for the community.

Lokesh called for backing the Banakacherla-Polavaram irrigation project, designed to direct surplus Godavari floodwaters, which currently flow into the sea, to support the arid regions of Rayalaseema.
