The Jharkhand unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has set its sights on the JMM-led government's handling of several critical issues during the current monsoon session of the assembly. Chief concerns include the dire situation farmers face after significant crop loss due to heavy rainfall, systematic law and order challenges, unemployment, and controversial religious conversion practices.

Under the leadership of state party chief Babulal Marandi, the BJP's strategy meeting aimed to address these pressing concerns in the assembly, which commenced on Friday and will conclude on August 7. BJP Chief Whip Naveen Jaiswal voiced accusations against the alliance government for prioritizing the renaming of institutions over vital development work.

Jaiswal specifically criticized the name changes of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University and Atal Clinic, suggesting a deeper agenda to promote religious conversion. Amid these allegations, the Hatia MLA claimed that the government is neglecting the severe financial distress among farmers, exacerbated by crop losses, and pursuing plans to acquire their land for a new project in Ranchi.
