The CPI(M) has accused factions of attempting to create divisions among Indians by exploiting differences in language, religion, and profession. The party claims these efforts undermine the country's unity and fraternity.
Mohammed Salim, CPI(M) West Bengal state secretary, emphasized the impact on marginalized groups, particularly migrant workers from West Bengal. The criticism follows rising concerns of alleged targeting of Bengali-speaking migrants in other states.
Salim also critiqued the ruling Trinamool Congress's language movement as a distraction from issues such as unemployment and inflation. Additionally, he condemned the recent revision of electoral rolls in Bihar as a politically motivated maneuver orchestrated by the Election Commission.
