Amid political tensions, former President Donald Trump has demanded the dismissal of Erika McEntarfer, the current head of the Bureau of Labour Statistics. Trump's call comes after a job report revealed a significant slowdown in employment growth for July and previous months.

Employing his social media platform Truth Social, Trump claimed the manipulation of job statistics for political gain and labeled McEntarfer as a 'Biden Political Appointee' unfit for the role. He insists on replacing her with a more competent candidate.

The jobs report for July presented a modest gain of 73,000 jobs, in stark contrast to earlier estimates. Additionally, revisions indicated 258,000 fewer jobs were created in May and June than previously reported, raising questions about the accuracy and objectivity of the data.
