During the Annual Legal Conclave 2025, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi made serious accusations against the NDA government. He claimed that the late Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley was sent to intimidate him when he opposed the contentious farm laws introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government.
Alongside this, Gandhi criticized the Election Commission of India for aiding large-scale voter fraud. He alleged that if up to 80 seats were rigged, it could have ensured Narendra Modi's premiership despite a slim majority. He promised to prove election rigging in the coming days.
Gandhi also praised lawyers for their crucial role in India's freedom struggle and the formation of the constitution. Highlighting their contribution, he expressed concern over the current government's actions, which he believes are systematically dismantling the constitutional framework established by legal minds.
