In a sharp rebuke, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh took aim at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's assertion of possessing an ''atom bomb of evidence'' to prove allegations of ''vote theft'' in Bihar by the Election Commission.

During a media house function in Bihar's capital, Singh likened the state's upcoming assembly elections to a pivotal crossroads. He portrayed one path, under the NDA, as a route to progress, while warning that the opposition INDIA bloc's leadership could revert the state to a bygone era of lawlessness.

Singh defended the Election Commission as a pillar of integrity and condemned frivolous statements from opposition figures. He praised Nitish Kumar for the state's progress and cited Prime Minister Narendra Modi's substantial financial aid to Bihar as a testament to the NDA's commitment.
