Rahul Gandhi, a prominent Congress leader, recently alleged that the late Arun Jaitley, a former finance minister, had threatened him over his opposition to farm laws. Gandhi claimed that during their discussion, Jaitley asserted that actions would be taken against him if he continued opposing the government.
The BJP quickly dismissed Gandhi's claims, highlighting that Arun Jaitley passed away in 2019 and the contentious farm laws were introduced in 2020. Amit Malviya, BJP IT cell head, labeled Gandhi's statement as 'fake news' and advised him to adhere to factual timelines.
Additionally, Rohan Jaitley, son of the late minister, criticized Gandhi's remarks, affirming that his father would have encouraged open dialogue rather than issuing threats. He urged Gandhi to be respectful when speaking about deceased figures, citing past instances of questionable political tactics.
