The Election Commission has dismissed allegations made by RJD leader Tejaswi Yadav regarding the absence of his name from the draft electoral rolls of Bihar. According to officials, Yadav's name is indeed listed at serial number 416 in the document.
Yadav raised concerns during a press conference on Saturday, where he attempted to verify his Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC) number, only to find 'no records found' displayed on screen. He also claimed he received no receipt from the booth officer who visited with an enumeration form.
In response, the EC emphasized the importance of eliminating errors from electoral lists in a democracy and urged Yadav's party agents to actively file claims and objections. Notably, no booth-level agents from any political party, including RJD, have submitted requests for changes in the last 24 hours.
