In a sharp rebuke against the Maharashtra government, Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray lashed out at the alleged marginalization of Marathi language by the BJP-led administration. During an event in Mumbai, Thackeray labeled Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis as "helpless" for failing to act against corrupt ministers.

Thackeray's criticism extended towards the inaction on corruption allegations against several ministers, including those within the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and rival Shiv Sena. He vowed to initiate state-wide protests to address the integrity issues afflicting the current governance.

The former Chief Minister also condemned the government resolutions perceived as imposing Hindi on Marathi speakers, a matter which saw rollback after intense public opposition. Thackeray's rhetoric underscores ongoing tensions within Maharashtra's political landscape and language policy debates.
