The Election Commission has categorically dismissed allegations by RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav claiming that his name is missing from Bihar's draft electoral rolls. According to sources within the poll body, an inquiry is underway to examine the legitimacy of a second voter card purportedly associated with Yadav.
Officials confirmed that Yadav's name is indeed included at serial number 416 in the draft rolls. They asserted that he used a valid electoral roll with EPIC number RAB0456228 for his nomination papers in 2020. A separate voter ID, RAB2916120, reportedly does not exist in official records.
Yadav publicly alleged exclusion from the rolls during his bid for assembly elections in Bihar. Despite available procedures for addressing grievances, poll officials noted that no formal complaints had been filed by Yadav or his party agents. The Commission urged political participation to ensure pure electoral rolls.
