The Samajwadi Party is under fire from the BJP over its 'PDA Paathshala' educational drive, which uses English alphabets to teach children about party leaders. SP's Rajya Sabha MP, Ram Gopal Yadav, condemned the FIR filed against their leader Farhad Alam, labeling it as a product of power being misused by 'ignorant people' with a 'petty mindset'.
Defending the initiative, Yadav questioned the issue with associating letters with party figures like 'A for Akhilesh' and 'B for Babasaheb'. He argued that the best educational methods are those that facilitate easy learning for children and accused Uttar Pradesh's ruling party of everyday misuse of authority. He suggested there could be counters to the FIR for rights misuse.
Meanwhile, BJP's UP President Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary fiercely criticized the SP, alleging that the educational lessons perpetuate nepotism, with a focus on party figures instead of national leaders like Abdul Kalam. He claimed the SP's practices could 'tamper' with the future of children, underscoring nepotism as core to SP's ideology and educational endeavors.
