Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and leaders across India are mourning the loss of Shibu Soren, a towering figure in Jharkhand politics and a dedicated advocate for tribal empowerment. Singh expressed sorrow over his passing, noting Soren's lifelong dedication to the rights of weaker sections, particularly the tribal community.

Congress MP Pramod Tiwari highlighted Soren's notable role as a voice for the tribals on a national level, acknowledging his contributions both as Jharkhand's Chief Minister and on larger political stages. Tiwari called him an irreplaceable figure symbolizing the highest honor for tribal communities in India.

Confirming the news, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Shibu Soren's son, shared his devastation over the loss. The esteemed leader, instrumental in the formation of Jharkhand, had been battling a kidney ailment and had been on life support for a month. He passed away in New Delhi at 81, marking an end of an era.
