The CPI(ML) Liberation has accused the Election Commission (EC) of presenting a misleading picture of the special intensive revision (SIR) in Bihar. According to Dipankar Bhattacharya, the party's general secretary, the EC's assertion that no complaints have been filed is false.
Bhattacharya stated that objections are indeed being raised, with approximately 3,000 being submitted directly by electors. He questioned the EC's handling of nearly 15,000 Form 6 applications, emphasizing concerns over the deletion of existing voters.
The CPI(ML) is pressing for detailed booth-level deletion lists, criticizing the EC's insistence on consolidating these, and questioning why lists are not available in Hindi. The EC notes the receipt of numerous new elector forms while continuing electoral roll revisions.
