Uddhav Thackeray, the leader of Shiv Sena-UBT, launched a scathing attack on the BJP-led NDA government, highlighting its foreign policy failures. He pointed out that US President Donald Trump mocked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, citing the recent tariff hike on Indian goods as evidence of the government's weaknesses.
During a press conference, Thackeray accused PM Modi and Amit Shah of functioning more like propaganda ministers than addressing national issues. He argued that India requires competent ministers to handle the prevailing challenges and criticized the government's lack of response to international tensions.
Thackeray affirmed his party's allegiance to the opposition INDIA bloc and dismissed rumors of a split with Raj Thackeray's MNS. Additionally, he voiced concerns over electoral processes, questioning the role of the Election Commission and criticizing the decision not to use VVPAT machines in Maharashtra's upcoming local elections.
