In a notable move on the political landscape, Congress Party MP Ranjeet Ranjan has submitted a formal motion in the Rajya Sabha, calling for an urgent debate on the inclusiveness and fairness of the electoral process. Representing Supaul, Bihar, Ranjan's appeal aims to halt scheduled discussions on August 11, 2025, to address these pressing concerns.

Accompanied by Rajani Ashokrao Patil, another Congress MP and committee overseer for Jammu & Kashmir, the politicians issued letters highlighting potential disenfranchisement among marginalized groups, particularly due to migration and documentation issues. The MPs stress the importance of these discussions to maintain democratic integrity, drawing attention from similar past concerns in Maharashtra's 2024 elections.

The urgency of these electoral debates coincides with plans from various Opposition MPs to demonstrate their concern through a march from Parliament to the Election Commission headquarters. While scheduled for 11:30 AM on Monday, the Delhi Police report that no authorization has been sought as of yet, setting the stage for potential conflict.
