Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Pays Respects to Former Members

The Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly commenced its Monsoon session on Monday with heartfelt tributes to a host of its former members who have recently passed away. Among the notable figures being remembered were former governor Satyapal Malik, ex-ministers Rajpal Tyagi and Kunwar Anand Singh, each recognized for their contributions to the assembly and the state.

Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana, speaking on behalf of himself and the legislative body, extended condolences to the families of Malik, a former MLA of Baghpat; Tyagi, a former MLA from Ghaziabad; and Singh, a former member from Gonda district. Mahana's statement highlighted their impactful political careers.

Additional tributes were directed towards various other past members, including Ram Paras Rajak from Jaunpur district and Girish Narayan Pandey from Rae Bareli, among others. Mahana detailed their lives and legacies, emphasizing the collective mourning of the House and the commitment to support the families of the deceased.
