Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is embarking on a 'Voter Adhikar Yatra' through Bihar starting Sunday, aiming to uphold the 'one man, one vote' principle. Alongside RJD's Tejashwi Yadav and other opposition members, Gandhi hopes to rally support against what he alleges are attempts by the Election Commission to undermine democracy.
The 16-day, 1,300 km journey will commence in Sasaram and culminate in a rally in Patna on September 1. The Congress party accuses the EC of disenfranchising voters with a special intensive revision of electoral rolls in the state before the upcoming assembly elections.
Rahul Gandhi calls this yatra a crucial movement for India's democracy, urging citizens to participate in resisting 'vote chori.' Congress remains committed to exposing the purportedly biased actions of the EC, hoping to secure a cleaner, fairer election process in Bihar and across the nation.
