The European Union's foreign policy head, Kaja Kallas, expressed on Saturday that Russia is unlikely to cease its military actions in Ukraine in the near future, and highlighted the importance of the United States in facilitating negotiations.
Kallas emphasized President Donald Trump's crucial role in striving for a peace agreement, criticizing Russian President Vladimir Putin for prolonging talks without making any commitments. Kallas pointed out that Putin departed from Anchorage without significant progress.
According to Kallas, the U.S. holds significant leverage to compel Russia into sincere negotiations. The European Union intends to support Ukraine in coordination with the United States to push harder for serious dialogue.
