In a fiery statement, Congress leader BK Hariprasad has drawn comparatives between the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the Taliban, dubbing them the 'Indian Taliban' during a speech that condemned Prime Minister Narendra Modi for lauding the organization in his recent Independence Day address.

Hariprasad raised concerns regarding the funding and legality of the RSS, questioning its absence in the freedom struggle and its non-registration as an organization. He also leveled accusations at the BJP and RSS for allegedly distorting historical narratives to their advantage.

This controversy follows PM Modi's praise of the RSS's century of service, calling it the 'biggest NGO in the world.' The RSS, founded in 1925, was commended by Modi for its dedication to national development and social welfare.
