In a sharp retort to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's claims on illegal infiltration in Bihar, CPI(ML) leader Dipankar Bhattacharya asserted no evidence exists to support the allegations. He challenged Modi, citing inaccuracies in the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process in Bihar which reportedly led to disenfranchising voters without proof of any foreign nationals.

Bhattacharya criticized the narrative as misleading, arguing that it fosters fear and insecurity while lacking substantive data, especially since there has been no recent Census. He condemned the strategy as an attempt to stir division by raising an unfounded anti-immigrant agenda reminiscent of past partition themes.

The CPI(ML) leader also dismissed the Election Commission's claims of zero complaints during SIR, referencing specific cases highlighting errors in the voter list. As opposition parties prepare for the Voter Adhikar Yatra in Bihar, Bhattacharya emphasized efforts to raise awareness and address voter issues in the SIR exercise.
