DMK President and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin, on Saturday, launched a vigorous attack on the BJP over the Enforcement Directorate's (ED) raids on his cabinet colleague I Periyasamy. He claimed that such actions were deliberate attempts to target opposition parties that do not align with the BJP's agenda.

Stalin dismissed these tactics as ineffective against DMK, a party accustomed to overcoming significant adversity. Speaking at the 26th State Conference of the CPI, he criticized the Election Commission amidst allegations of electoral fraud in Bihar, praising Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for exposing the issue concerning the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.

He further accused the BJP of executing policies, such as enforcing Hindi and promoting the RSS, that DMK had warned about, citing the prominence of V D Savarkar over Mahatma Gandhi in government ads. Stalin assured that these intimidation efforts would not deter DMK, predicting electoral defeat for the BJP, similar to the DMK's 2021 victory.
