Goa Congress leader Amit Patkar has come under scrutiny following allegations of assault by state NSUI president Naushad Chowdhari. The accusation, vehemently denied by Patkar, is dismissed as a diversion tactic by the BJP, aimed at derailing the Congress's campaign against 'vote theft'.

According to a complaint lodged with NSUI's national president, the purported incident allegedly occurred at the Congress office entrance in Panaji, triggering claims of verbal abuse and physical aggression from Patkar towards Chowdhari.

In response, Patkar has labeled the allegations as 'malicious' and resolved, asserting that Chowdhari remains a valued member of their political 'family' and redirecting focus to the overarching issue of electoral integrity.
