The BJP state committee has taken decisive action by expelling Manna Dey, a local leader of Khayerpur Assembly constituency in West Tripura district, following the circulation of 'personal videos' on social media platforms.

Party sources revealed that several intimate conversations involving party leaders, including Dey, who was the mandal president, were leaked online. The situation escalated with Dey's alleged involvement in sharing these clips.

An expulsion letter from state BJP general secretary Amit Rakshit to Manna Dey cited the breach of party discipline as the primary reason for the action. The letter emphasized the negative impact of such activities on the party's image and confirmed that Dey has been relieved of all party posts.
