In a heated address on Sunday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi lashed out at the Election Commission (EC), accusing it of aiding the ruling BJP in orchestrating a 'vote chori' during the Special Intensive Revision in Bihar. He claimed the EC was actively helping the BJP in tampering with electoral rolls by removing legitimate voter names.

Gandhi, speaking at the conclusion of the first day of his Voter Adhikar Yatra in Sasaram, asserted that while he was targeted for exposing these alleged malpractices, no such scrutiny was applied to BJP leader Anurag Thakur for similar statements. He further accused the Modi government of making legal changes to protect EC officials from accountability, reinforcing his claim of voter manipulation.

The Congress leader called for a united front from the INDIA bloc against 'vote chori' and urged citizens to defend their constitutional right to vote. Meanwhile, Chief Election Commissioner Gynaesh Kumar dismissed Gandhi's accusations, stating that the electoral roll revisions were transparent efforts to rectify existing discrepancies.
