In a somber acknowledgment, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has stated there is little chance of finding survivors from the recent cloudburst tragedy in Kishtwar. A specialized team will be formed to analyze high-risk areas to help prevent such disasters in the future.
Abdullah confirmed the administration's commitment to assist affected families as they work on recovering bodies for proper final rites. With 70 people initially reported missing and hopes dimming, the current focus is on providing any necessary support to those impacted.
In discussions with reporters, Abdullah also touched on political matters, expressing support for the INDIA bloc's Vice President candidate and criticizing the manipulation of historical chapters in NCERT textbooks. He championed keeping politics out of historical education.
