Chhattisgarh Cabinet Expansion to Fill Vacant Berths
Chhattisgarh's much-anticipated cabinet expansion is set for Wednesday, as the BJP plans to fill vacant positions. The cabinet currently has 11 members, including Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai. The state may adopt the 'Haryana model,' allowing for three new inductions, reaching the constitutional limit of 14 ministers.

The Chhattisgarh government is gearing up for a significant cabinet expansion scheduled for Wednesday. According to a BJP statement released on Tuesday, the swearing-in ceremony will occur at 10:30 am at the Raj Bhawan.
Despite the build-up, the BJP has not disclosed the names or the number of MLAs to be inducted. Traditionally, 13 MLAs, including the chief minister, have formed the cabinet. Currently, the cabinet has 11 members, led by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai.
Party insiders suggest Chhattisgarh could emulate the 'Haryana model,' in which 14 MLAs, including the CM, serve as ministers in the 90-member assembly. Should this model be adopted, three new BJP MLAs are likely to join the cabinet, meeting the constitutional limit of 14.
