In a significant political development, Congress MP Manickam Tagore has tabled an Adjournment Motion Notice in the Lok Sabha, seeking urgent discussions about alleged discrepancies within the Election Commission's practices, particularly the controversial Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise in Bihar.

Tagore highlighted a detailed six-month probe by Congress that exposed over one lakh fake and duplicate voter entries in the Mahadevapura Assembly segment during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Concerns are growing over similar fraudulent patterns in Bihar amid ongoing electoral roll revisions, allegedly marginalizing living voters by marking them deceased.

This controversy is further fueled by Rahul Gandhi's accusations of a partnership between the Election Commission and BJP, which he claims manipulates voter demographics for electoral gains. Addressing a rally, Gandhi alleged these actions undermine democratic rights. Congress maintains its resolve to confront these irregularities, determined to safeguard electoral integrity.
