The opposition party, BJP, leveled accusations against the Congress-led government in Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday, claiming that misleading information is being circulated about the job creation figures. A key election promise to generate one lakh jobs annually is yet to be realized, BJP members stated.
During the heated session, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu responded to queries from BJP's Vipin Parmar and Satpal Singh Satti. Sukhu emphasized that despite challenges, the government has managed to secure 23,191 jobs for young individuals while also establishing numerous posts across various departments.
Tempers flared as discrepancies in job numbers surfaced, prompting BJP members to exit the assembly in protest. Sukhu clarified that former figures included both government and private sector roles, contrasting with recent numbers that reflect solely government positions, defending the administration's efforts and plans for ongoing employment initiatives.
