Prime Minister Narendra Modi has openly criticized the Trinamool Congress (TMC) as he prepares for an upcoming visit to West Bengal, citing increasing public discontent with the state's ruling party. In a recent post on social media platform X, Modi noted the rising public anger against the TMC and highlighted the growing hope placed in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) by the state's population.

During his visit to Kolkata, the Prime Minister will focus on improving the city's connectivity infrastructure. Highlighting the metropolis's development commitment, Modi is set to inaugurate several metro projects, including the Noapara-Jai Hind Bimanbandar, Sealdah-Esplanade, and Beleghata-Hemanta Mukhopadhyay routes, designed to enhance transit to key areas such as the airport and IT hubs.

Beyond metro initiatives, the Prime Minister will also lay the foundation for the Kona Expressway, a significant road project poised to boost connectivity between Howrah and Kolkata. The six-lane elevated highway aims to ease traffic congestion and bolster regional trade, commerce, and tourism. Modi will address the public to outline these initiatives in further detail.
