The IAS Officers' Association has strongly condemned the personal attacks directed at Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar and his family. This comes in response to allegations made by opposition leaders accusing him of 'vote theft'. The association emphasized that criticisms unrelated to official duties are unwarranted.

Issuing a statement on social media, the IAS Association declared its support for maintaining dignity and integrity in public service. It noted that family members of the CEC, who are reputable civil servants in their own right, should not be subject to such attacks.

The association's statement followed recent comments by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who warned the CEC and other Election Commissioners of potential action against them once the INDIA bloc assumes power. The political tension escalated after Gandhi urged the election officials to provide evidence backing their vote theft claims or face further consequences.
