In a notable political maneuver, Rahul Patil, previously affiliated with the Congress party and an ex-member of the Kolhapur Zilla Parishad, has officially joined Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar's Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) wing.
Patil, son of the late Congress MLA PN Patil, was a candidate in the 2024 assembly elections but faced defeat in the Karvir constituency against Shiv Sena candidate Chandradeep Narake.
Ajit Pawar hailed Patil's entry as a promising development, expressing confidence that his leadership will bolster NCP's presence and influence within the Kolhapur district.
