Mauritius Prime Minister Navinchandra Ramgoolam is embarking on an eight-day visit to India starting September 9, aimed at bolstering bilateral ties in defense, trade, and investment.

During his trip, Ramgoolam will engage in comprehensive discussions with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to solidify the 'enhanced strategic partnership' between the two nations, according to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).

Aside from formal talks, Ramgoolam's itinerary includes visits to Mumbai, Varanasi, Ayodhya, and Tirupati, where he will attend a business event. The visit serves to deepen the historic, cultural, and people-to-people connections between India and Mauritius and aligns with India's MAHASAGAR vision and 'Neighbourhood First Policy'.
