BJP national general secretary Arun Singh has forecasted a significant defeat for the Congress-RJD alliance in the forthcoming Bihar assembly elections, asserting that the NDA is poised to secure a majority victory. Addressing media at the Jharkhand BJP headquarters, Singh depicted a prolonged political dormancy for Congress under Rahul Gandhi's leadership, citing dwindling support across the nation.
Singh accused Gandhi of undermining constitutional institutions, which he argued has led to a series of electoral losses for Congress. The BJP leader further alleged that the JMM-led administration in Jharkhand has deteriorated law and order, claiming it fosters criminal activities and terrorist affiliations. He referenced the murder of social worker Surya Hansda as an example of the state's failing governance.
Addressing allegations against the Jharkhand administration, Singh urged for identification and punitive action against individuals engaged in anti-national activities. He emphasized that voters seek development, not exploitation. Singh raised concerns over increasing ISI connections in the state, attributing this to the government's appeasement politics.
